Tim initiated his career in the insurance industry in 1991, when he joined an insurance company gaining understanding in both underwriting and claims management.

Tim’s natural people skills and technical ability steered him towards the role of a Broker, whereby he joined a large Global Broking house. Tim's focus was primarily in the area of, Cargo insurance, Freight Operator type risks and self-insurance products

Tim has complimented his experience and practical knowledge by completing studies in areas of Business Management, Marketing and Finance. Tim has also been elected, by examination, a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

Consolidating his practical experience and academic studies, Tim then progressed to the management of large Freight Operator and Cargo insurance/risk financing facilities.

Tim contributes strong marketing and leadership skills to AustRisk and is primarily responsible for the ongoing growth and development of the company.
